i dont miss the center vents at all. it also frees up the stock location for the DVD or guages if you wanted, and still leaves the pod for guages or something else. i dont think i have any other pics of my system. basically one of my subee-sound enclosures, 2 amps, and some quarts up front.

the deck is actually custom mounted in the vent area. there is a bracket that is welded together behind it, that is welded to the cross brace of the car. needless to say it is very strong. we mounted the radio in the car, and could actually grab the radio and push down on it and it wouldnt budge. it is also very theft proof the way the radio is mounted. when my car was stolen, they took everything out, ut couldnt get the radio out. then i made a trim piece out of polished blue formica that fits around it, and the whole vent/storage compartment snaps on over it.

I don't drive around with it on, but if I did they would. You get a pretty big fine, as well as a "talking to". IIRC In most states they are illegal, unless you have a shutoff conected to your parking brake. Parking brake on = power, brake off = no power. I suppose with the location of the other screens, or moving it down to either din in the bottom, and no one would be able to tell unless they were right next to you. I just like the viewing angle of mine, for both movies and playstation.

I was goin to put mine in the vents to, but I use them way to often. But I'm seriously considering putting my Subaru compass in the vents, because I have clearly run out of space.

If I get pulled over I just switch it to the nav screen, then the cops usually start asking questions about how well does it work? It's been a good conversation piece for the last two times I've been pulled over.
