What is the safest set up for more power with out spending too much $$
I notice that a lot of people on the board are buying MBC or EBC with some mod on intake and exhaust however, I would like to know what is the safest way to go with these mods. I mean what brand and what settings?
Thanks guys!

Seems to me that the best "bang for the buck" is to get a manual boost controller. You can make your own, or buy one from a vendor like TurboXS.com. The ball and spring types are the best. Bleeds are OK (and cheaper) but wont spool, the turbo as fast. (I dont have a WRX, but do have 2 other turbo cars.) With the addition of such a controller, it will feel like a different car altogether.
Just dont get carried away and stay within reasonable boost limits for the fuel youve got available! There are others here that can attest to what those reasonable limits are on a WRX much better than I. |
