No longer in Cali. They shut down the facility I was working at and moved me back. So back in Indy for the time being!

What's up guys?! I see the old crowd is coming out of the wood work. I still have my old 2003 but have added a couple more to the garage. My folks still live in Lafayette but I'm not back up there too much.

Nice, I love the Monsters.

Our FXT is the 'adult' vehicle. I got wifey running Auto-x with me a couple years ago and she has taken over my BRZ running in STX. My goal for the winter is to get her comfortable with driving the WRX in XS-A, so I don't have to keep up with 2 race cars.
I picked up a SVX from a neighbor a couple years ago for a screaming deal. I get the most reactions and thumbs up from other drivers in that than anything else. Its a money pit and leaks like a sieve, but I love it.

Yeah, its a pretty cool car. Ahead of its time for 1992. I have the original window sticker and it went for ~$30k when it sold in 1991! I need to pull the motor and redo all the seals and gaskets, but its a good cruiser. Everyone is either super confused or loves it.

That's absolutely amazing. Nicely done on picking that up.

I've always loved how those look.

Also new to the Indiana area but lived all around the Midwest most of my life. Look forward to meeting everyone and talking about boobs. Cheers!

Welcome! Almost none of us live in Indiana anymore, but went to and met at Purdue at one time or another. This thread has slowed down quite a bit since most everything is on FB these days. Car looks good!

Also, bewbs.

I will probably be back in West Lafayette between X-mas and New Years this year to see my folks. We just had a baby and my mom can't travel due to health reasons (f*ck cancer) so I want them to be able to meet the little one. We'll be in our FXT.

At the end of August, I did a thing. 2019 WRX Limited. 10,000 miles on her (at the time). Paid more than I wanted to but I love to drive it and just enjoy how nice it is. I never thought I'd be back in a Subie but with all the driving I do around the state and with my truck being a jerk, my wife said let's go get you a new car. She's still got her '11 Forester XT and so we're back to a two car turbo family.

*edit - tried to insert an image but nasioc doesn't work with imgur anymore and I'm too lazy to sign up for their new img service because I have zero need for another frigging account.

First post of 2022!
I came back to WL last week, the weather did not suck. I would still not move back, but had a good time seeing my parents. Campus is basically unrecognizable from when I was at Purdue.

How about these Indianapolis pot holes lol. To give this thread a bump before searching, does anyone know a good machine shop around Indy that can rebuild a set of JDM EJ205 heads?

Bumping a dead thread part 9014

I took my car over to Rohrman Subaru to have them check out a noise. I knew it was probably the front strut making it having heard it before but I thought I might still be under warranty time wise as I'm most definitely under mileage. I wasn't. They quoted me almost $1k. I asked if that was for all four. Nope, one strut with labor. I literally laughed and said I'll pick it up and do it myself. So now I'm searching for a new suspension package. Not going the coilover route like I did on my FXT. Sucks that this happened right at Christmas when spare cash is at a minimum.

2023 update to a dead thread...

Picked up the Racecomp Engineering GTWORX Bilstein combo package along with the Whiteline front roll center adjustment kit and the Whiteline adjustable lower control arms for the rear. Dropped the car 22mm all around. Looks great and handles so much nicer over stock. Currently saving for new wheels and tires.

Nice, I've heard very good things about that RCE GTWORX setup.
