For repairs, I'm currently running a 'filled' head. Had the journals coated, and then I lapped them back down to size, as the peaks in the aluminum....because I was curious how it would work.

The rest of the circumference is barely in tolerance. If they can take a half-thousandth to one-thousandth off both faces, then it should clean up nicely. 5 valve Yz450f heads do the same thing bad, the cam will sink and the journal will mushroom out into the bucket area until the valve will not shut. Expensive to repair, expensive to replace.
