Default Rad replacement

Hello guys, so I'm looking to replace my rad as i sprung a leak on my way home today (that was fun***55357;***56900;) anyways after some searching I found out that the RS rads are not quite comparable due to the centre cap on the rad being differently placed. It seems as though the fit would leave very little room between the hose and the belts. From what I have searched quite a few people are suggesting the Turbo Legacy 90-94 radiator?

Basically I'm just looking for the cheapest replacement rad I can get so I can get my vehicle back on the road ASAP as it is my DD right now. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

BTW my vehicle is a 98 sti type r.

Those few people are correct! I replaced my 98 jdm wrx rad with the 90-94 Turbo Legacy ones. Direct fit too, just need to change the top rad bracket over from your old one. I bought a 1inch rad off ebay which comes down to around $80 CAD. Good Luck!

If you were to do a quick eBay search do you think you could find the exact same rad you bought and shoot me a link. I don't mind if it's slightly more expensive or whatever. I just want to be competent that what I'm getting is right.

Btw thank you!

From what I understand it has to be manual and the turbo model. I don't think the 2.2 works but don't quote me at the same time...

Mine is an auto. But 2.2 turbo legacy does have manual versions which will work out the same.

Thanks for all the help guys. The radiator dropped right in without any issue. Couldn't be more happy with the result.
