Default Any interest? Bolt in Roll Bar and Roll Cage Kits from Autopower and Safe Drives?

Hi!

I got a call today from a nice guy wanting to order a bolt in roll bar for his Forester. Well there is no such product at this time. I know there are a bunch of HOT Foresters out there. If there is a lot of interest we'll get that kit made.

Is there any interest?

Best regards,

Charles Buren

I just read on sf.org that you guys need a forester for 5 business days to outfit it w/ a roll bar & cage. I have an 04 fxt w/ a decent suspension set-up.
Do you still need a volunteer ?

I definitely wouldn't want to lose the ability to carry passengers. What's the ease of uninstalling??

Thanks,

Once installed an Autopower 4 Point Roll Bar like pictured above can be removed and replaced in 1 - 2 hours, less with help.

You really don't want to put folks in the back seat area at all when you have one of these installed. However these kits are designed to clear all of the normal interior so your back seats can remain installed.

Hi Ed,

Thank you for volunteering!

Yes! We need you big time! Call Don at Autopower right now to schedule the best time. I just got off the phone with him and he's expecting your call. 619-297-3300 Don is the main roll cage guy there. He's a good guy.

Thank you again for volunteering!

Please let us all know when your appointment is.

I'd also be interested in a bolt-in roll bar. With the bolt-in cross brace what is the legality for it in the different sanctioning race venues? Specifically dragracing for me. I also do Texas Mile stuff so that would fall under NASA rules.
Thanks for asking us who'd be interested!

For drag racing these kits are legal and fine unless you turn a time quiker than 11.49et. At that speed / time you'll have to weld in some bigger mounting plates and a door bar. But the Autopower tubeing and bolt in options would still be drag race legal until you run 9.99.

I know I have sold a kit or two for Texas Mile folks this year already so they must be fine for that as well. Honestly though, you should always check the rules for yourself. You want to be very familiar with them anyway.

So is that somethig you're looking at pursuing or is that something that would have to be fabbed after purchase.

Hi,

Autopower will not do this. You would have to have that done by a local fabricator.
