Default feedback for 2017+ models, ac compressor

not sure if this is the right place but I'd like to hear from those who's had issues with their air conditioning on a 2017+ subaru model. I have a 2017 model and the ac compressor seized @ approximately 45k. Yes I know I'm out of warranty but theres a known issue with the same exact problem for the 2015-2016 subaru's and want to see if they really fixed it.

subaru released a bulletin to replace the ac compressors ( see below).

Your feedback is appreciated and hopefully if its a wide spread issue they will revise it.

I have a 2015 WRX that came with the VA000 compressor. Around 50k miles the compressor clutch started to fail. It would engage intermittently and as time went on it would work less and less frequently. Not a fun way to spend last summer.

I found a used VA001 compressor (the successor part) off a 2018 WRX. Threw it in, charged the system and haven’t had a problem since.

Yeah
Need to fork out the $ for OEM or find a used one
Subaru only sells the entire compressor assembly
Therefore, cannot get Remanufactured ones
I'm on my 3rd one(05 STI)
Funny
Last member I bought one from(2008 or earlier)
Sent it to me in a freakin shoe box...no padding except 2sheets of newspaper
Installed it 12yrs ago
Clutch made ***8216;eee eee eee' noise but works awesome
Not noticeable but noise to me is
No issues cooling.......for 12 years!
I have learned to deal with the noise
