Default New COBB AP3 not turning on in 03 WRX

I just received my new Accessport V3 today and while it turns on just fine connecting to my laptop (to see it in AP Manager) I can't get the thing to turn on in my car. I have the battery charged up and I know the OBDII port works because I have a BlueDriver scan tool that works just fine when it's plugged in. With and without the test and init connectors plugged in the AP3 just won't turn on. Haven't been able to install the Accessport so far because of that. Can't get a hold of COBB support because they're not available by phone on weekends.

Do you have the block off jumpers? I know it's an 03 but it might have it.

Not quite familiar with what you're referring to exactly, are you talking about the translucent white connector under the dash beside the two green connectors that go together?

Yes, normally you need a block off adapter to close that circuit.

Thanks for clarifying! Yes I do have the white end connector that was supplied with my accessport, but the device still won't turn on when I have it plugged into my car. It is an 03 so I know it's supposed to be the white plug to use and not the blue one which was for the 02 models.

Tried again earlier this morning and still no luck getting it to turn on. Sorta sucks I can't reach COBB until tomorrow haha, just wanted to try and get it installed over the weekend, oh well.

Can't think of any other reason, maybe need to use a multimeter and check that the pins on my obdii port are getting the right voltage/working correctly?

Alright so I'll just update this thread to give a resolution to the problem I was having!

I finally got it to work by wiggling the cable a little bit more and pushing really hard into the obd-ii port and the unit finally came on and looks like it's functioning properly! Looks like I'll be able to get it installed today, just have to charge the battery back up since it looks like the voltage was a little too low the first time I checked and attempted the install it didn't wanna procced until the voltage was a bit higher

I appreciate the help that I got regardless, sometimes it's really just having to convince the connection to happen haha

I have that issue on occasion with my accessport as well. When you push it into the port, slide your fingers around the back under the steering column and make sure all the connections are pushed all the way in. The male connector to the obd2 port can sometimes push the pins out a little. Also, the accessport won't turn on if the car battery is low or if you have a lot of accessories on that are drawing from the battery. If you have an aftermarket headunit, turning the screen off can help.
