Default 04 fxt ecu flash to 04 sti

I’m in the process of making some changes to my 04 fxt. I read somewhere about using the sti map on the fxt ecu and using the e85 feature not available with the fxt maps. I couldn’t find the straight answer on what method was used to reflash it. Was it the standard reflash using open source or was it the total reflash like when you brick an ecu. I hate to purchase another ecu to do this if mine with work.
Thanks

Ok got it working. Easier then thought. Just open source reflash then use accessport like normal.

From what I can tell yes. Just install sti map. Even first install pulls up an sti car and my previous fxt maps were gray/unavailable.
