If You're having troubles installing the wrist pins through the pistons, read this!
From what I've read online, installing the wrist pins is quite the hassle on everyone. For me it was downright impossible. Even with the pistons out I couldn't get the wrist pin through the piston.
Then I saw an old 1940something ad about how precise their machine tolerances were and how if the piston was put ion a freezer for just a couple minutes, the wrist pin would no longer fit through. That gave me an idea. So I wen to Home Depot the next day, bought a heat gun for $35, and got to work. Basically I just lined up the piston/rod, put the heat gun on max settings and aimed it through the service port for 3-4 minutes, and next thing I knew the piston pin would fit through with almost no problem. Made installing pistons much less of a headache. TL;DR: use a heat gun on the pistons through the service port to expand them due to thermal expansion and the wrist pin will fit through no problem.
