2005 Subaru WRX turbocharger replacement question
Hey All,
My turbo is running on spare time as it has 150,000 miles on it. With that being said I am going to replace it before it goes. Since I am going to replace it I am going to go with a 16G Turbo to have a little more fun while daily driver. My question is where is the best place to buy a 16G? Right now I am in touch with tomioka racing. Is this company reputable? Also, I was told that I would not need to tune the car after I swaped out the oem with the 16G. Is this correct? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks, Subaru Jackson

Did you ever get an answer to this or get this done? I can't find anything online. My turbo is bad and I just wanna replace it but I don't know where or what to buy, I'd like to stay as stock as possible

You'll get better attention in the turbo powertrain section:
https://forums.nasioc.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=91 But yes, you will need a tune anytime that you're changing to a different turbo model. If you don't want a tune, you need to replace with the same model stock turbo. |
