Default A/C shut-off at WOT

Does anyone know if the A/C automatically shuts off at WOT like in some other cars or would you have to shut it off manually if you want just that extra bit of added power?

Yes, the ECM (aka ECU) controls it.

It's a power consideration. If it sees you wanting full power for acceleration, it figures you don't need A/C that bad.

Most cars do this....not sure of the whole lineup or not. I would guess yes.

A tall latte' is always good for a tenth or two.

I think you could easily autox with the a/c on, given how rarely you really use full power in that situation.

And here in Houston, where it's 100 degrees... not a bad idea to keep the driver's head working well.

Not to mention that the A/C helps smooth out the power delivery.

That's funny. I use the A/C as traction control in the rain.
