I wonder how many of the people who post here will be breathing after they get their Sti and try to be Tiff? Sad news.
We dont even have the car yet and we are already trying to change it? Relax people. Joe PS-Oh crap man you should see the crap I have planned for my Nissan R54 GTR-RX......I already have parts on order!

You know, if you ask every single tuner here in Japan which car they start with as a base for their tuning (with budget as part of the decision factor) and they'd all start with an STi, no hesitation at all.
If, and only if you are concerned with drag strip performance only, then the truth is that there are american V8's that are faster for a lot cheaper. And if you are going to be modifying a car that much, buying a new one is *pointless*. You buy new for a warranty. No warranty = used. So get a used car and build that up. For 4K or less I can buy and build a faster V8 than either a modded WRX or stock STi. Realistically, this is all about justification. Cheers, Paul Hansen |

Driver control center diff, rear mechanical diff, 6 spd tranny. That is all something you can't add on without significant cost.
Sti is such a bargain. |
