I still wonder why people bother to actually type crap like the above. Ya know, I saw a green New Beetle yesterday - just about made me throw up in my mouth, but the lady driving it seemed to be pretty happy. My point: there are as many different opinions as there are kinds of cars. There's something for everyone.

I didn't like the '02 WRX when it came out, I had a WRX in '98 when I lived in the UK and just liked the earlier style better. But, it has grown on me, and now I drive one. Now, I see a 2.5RS and think the hood-scoop that is there just for looks is silly, but hey I guess it works for Ford. I see this new STi and the re-styled WRX (what's this?? thread content??) and I don't really like them, and I wish they would have left the bugeyes on for the normal model year cycle, but oh-well. Maybe mine will be worth more because of this some day. Either way, who cares. I like my car - and it shouldn't make any difference to anyone else what I like/drive. Your preferences don't get in my way, they don't effect me - I could care less. Vice versa I am sure, so who cares if the 'new model' is ugly in your opinion. Don't buy one!!

And about the blue. Heh... Well, I would have to think you are fairly alone with that one. What were those crazy fools at Subaru thinking making the car the same colour as the rally car!!!

Enjoy the ride. I am gonna go fire up my '03 WRX and watch as it gets older. 3600 miles and counting.

I absolutely can't wait for a ride in a new STi. Don't think I will ever own one though I applaud the effort and think Subaru is kicking some serious ass these days.

I seriously hope that wing is not standard. No wing like that should be on a sedan. I would take the WRX spoiler over that anyday. It would have been cooler if they used the older STi hood scoop; it just has a better shape.

Anyone miss the big foglights? I actually liked the older bumper more than the new one.

so about these seats? do they change the blue in the seat to match any color you buy? if you get black, is the whole seat black, or white? or silver? what's the deal with that?
will they fit into a 97 Legacy GT

it just really REALLY bugs me how the Impreza got a turbo, and became the WRX, then they bumped it up again and made it beefier. and now, the legacy is still sitting there. but hey, in a few years we'll have the Legacy STI and that will be FAR better than the WRX sti. i love the legacy, and i will have one forever, especially the STI with 350 HP and it looks a lot better.
if you haven't seen it, check it out.

plenty of bolstering, I'd say. They're comfortable too.

of course, some people have to have racing seats in their toyota camry, so different seats fit different people.

These seats have less bolstering...and they're in a 996 GT2.

similar in M3

dojoromeo,

My sales guy told me all the STis will come with the same blue interior and carpets regardless of paint color. Just like the WRX -- only one interior for all cars.

why does the US spec look like it has another orange piece inside the headlight (on the sides) and the japanese one doesn't. probably regulations... also i wonder how the new style headlight would look if it came in a black shelling like the jdm sti lights for the my02.

Edmunds.com has a bunch of new pictures, including a few I hadn't seen before (DCCD switch, fog light adjustment, and no stereo):

http://www.edmunds.com/future/2004/s...oto..0.Subaru*

I'd just link them here, but there's a lot.

I think that's mislabelled. The other specs show no fogs for the STi. That adjustment looks like the HID adjustment.
