No wagon?!
Is this true? I'm just guessing, but I haven't seen any mention of it yet. Oh well, I'll just have to save up for an engine/tranny swap

whatever, wagon owner are much more resourceful than that. If I have to, I'll hop a plane to Japan for parts!!
I feel your pain, though. I LOVE the functionality of my wagon and it's proven it's usefulness on mutilple occassions. To bad us wagon owners get no love from SOA. SOA, if your reading this, you can stick it for dissing the wagon. mike |

"Silvery blob + bruises"
Sounds just like my wagon You'd think that with how well the WRX Wagon did Subaru would have learned. I guess car companies just don't think American's want a high-performance wagon. First no RS6 Avant, now no STi Wagon. Oh well, its not like I have the money for one anyways. |

will have to wait
Who knows? Maybe Subaru will surprise us next model year.
Until I can justify buying a second car (not even on the radar while I live in New York), the only way I'll be getting an STi is if they release a wagon model. I can afford it if they build it... Anyone listening? |

Yup, I'm willing to wait for an STi wagon.
Or make my own with the STi bits over time ... a lot of time. |

When i bought my car 07/01, i asked the guy if there was a chance that the Sti wagon would come to america and he said there probably wouldnt be enough interest in one. since possibility of a STi wagon hasnt been completly eliminated, heres my chance to start saving for it.

Yeah, I noticed the lack of a WRX Wagon on the new site too, but didn't want to mention it as it would take away from the drama of no STi wagon Hopefully they'll make both.

I too would prefer an STI wagon. But I may defect to the dark side and settle for an STI sedan. Heck, I'll just sell the sedan when and if an STI wagon becomes a reality. But given a choice wagon's rule.

I would be so tempted by an STI wagon. So tempted. It would sure beat getting a used S6.
Now if only the STI proves it self to be reliable.... |

Yes, I 'll join the chorus whining for an STi Wagon.
...but only if it is mechanically IDENTICAL to the sedan, unlike the current wagon (no alum. control arms available, narrower track etc.) I was willing to accept that with the WRX but then I didn't know any better... SOA, you'd have something unlike anything else on the US market...and further confirm your rep as the car company that "thinks different". I also think the US STi engine would be killer in a Legacy to be the Subie equivalent of a BMW 5 series. But anyway...wagon or not, this opens a can of whoop-ass on the upstart SRT -4 Neon and Evo. |
