Talking Wow! Does Subaru Appreciate U.S. or what?

Fancy that, giving us an exclusive 2.5 L turbo!!!!! I didn't expect that! Probably because our gas is such low octane stuff - there are limits to what you can do with a 2L on pump gas! This is incredible news.

Just wonder what price tag will be. I'll bet MSRP will be over 33K with normal equipment. May be worth it though...

it was probably mostly emissions related, so that they can still look good for the environmental contingent.

it's good for us

hey, for once, a car company gave US the BEST they had to offer, not some watered-down version!

This STi has EVERYTHING the JDM model has! Good work SOA and FHI!

Talking

Well, I think emission is the number one factor - in order to beat the EVO at the power game with a 4 cylinder turbo and still pass emission, that's probably the only way to do it. Nonetheless, it's about the time the STi show up with a bang... can't you see the grin on my face now?

Talking SOA should appreciate the U.S.

They should appreciate the U.S. After all wasn't the the U.S. the biggest consumer of bugeye WRXs in the world? They should reward us.

They have extremely pinpoint and on-target marketing - the 2L they sell in JA won't run on our gas, so what do they do - give us a 2.5!!

How did they keep the wraps on this? No leaks to speak of. Mitsu's gotta be carrapping in their pants about now.

indeed way to GO FHI ...

my guess is that it was mainly a FHI project .. thus the lack of leaks .. they were however there..
