Because reasons. It's *almost* worth signing back up for a month to become an "existing" customer again, initiate the mobile plan, then drop broadband again.

Interesting. Well that pretty much evaporates most of the theoretical $60/month of savings.

Figured this was as good a thread as any to drop this bombshell:

NBC is getting out of the sports network business.
First reported by Sports Business Journal, NBC is planning to shut down the NBC Sports Network by the end of 2021. NBCSN serves as the sports home for NBC programming and regularly broadcasts NHL and English Premier League games along with NASCAR races and college basketball games.

Sounds like NBC is dropping NHL altogether when their contract expires at the end of this season and everything else is heading to Peacock.

Outside of the Olympics and UCI pro cycling, I barely watch but that's a big chunk of my TV time in the Spring/Summer
