Former Packers GM Ted Thompson dead at 68.

I'm sure Brett Favre is inconsolable

I think Packers but I’m nervous as a fan. It should be a good game.

This, as they are a much improved team from week 6.

However so are the Bucs.

This is not going to be an easy game.

Still nervous...

Pretty sure I read he plans to come back, but he didn't seem nearly as effective this year (at football, not the other thing). They also signed Haskins, who has a high enough draft pedigree to potentially be something. I don't think he will, but it shows they're at least thinking about the next steps.

Vita Vea was activated today. He's been out since week 5 with a fractured ankle. Will be interesting to see how it holds up his 300+ pounds of girth lowkey hope they run AJ Dillon right up the middle a bunch of times to test him.

I'll go underdog on both sides for AFC and NFC winners. I'm sure it's been said, but it would be funny to see TB12 break Buffalo's heart. Go Bucks.

Mathew Stafford is no longer with Detriot.

He deserves to be on a winning team.

No team deserves that contract

They might as well cut him now. Unless he negotiates waaaay down, no one is going to make that trade happen.

It is of Aaron Rodgers opinion he's one of the best at looking off a throw.

Mahomes has made this skill famous as of late.

Too bad his (matts) wife is a bit off herself.

What is Staffords contract? Worse for the trade receiver than Wentz?

I feel like Stafford is kinda like Favre was.

I donno - Stafford has at least 2+ good years in him. The coaching really let him down the past couple of years.

He's an instant upgrade to any QB needy team and his $20ish million a year isn't bad for the level of QB play he provides.

His cap hit next year is $33M.

A team sticking with their $20M QB could sign a decent FA with $13M

I think he’s making $30Mish/year, he had the highest contract in the league for a short period of time. I’m happy for him. I think he’s talented and deserves to be on a team that isn’t trash. Based on his first press conference, I’m not confident this new HC is going to be any better, Stafford is smart to get out.

If the Lions are successfully able to find a trade partner or release the veteran quarterback, they will take a $19 million dead money cap hit, but it would free up $14 million in cap space since Stafford's salary cap number was set at $33 million in 2021.

According to The Athletic, "Stafford, 32, still has two years remaining on his contract. And while the Lions will have to eat $19 million in dead money if and when they move him, Stafford’s new team would be on the hook for a perfectly reasonable $20 million in 2021 ($9.5 million in base salary plus bonuses) and $23 million ($12.5 million base) in ’22."
