Default 2015+ STi vs. 2018 STi Type RA Steering Rack

Anybody realize that the part numbers are different?

https://parts.subaru.com/p/Subaru_20...4110VA140.html

34110VA120 (2015+ STi) vs 34110VA140 (2018 STi Type RA).
I wonder if it's a more direct steering ratio...
I wonder if it'll fit on my GV without modification like the 15+ STi rack~~~

Interesting. $50 difference in MSRP.

also, why are there yet two more different part numbers for a non-Type RA 2018 STI?

34110VA130
34110VA131

page for the steering stuff for a 2018 STI:
https://parts.citysidesubaru.com/a/S...10-347-03.html

Then, if you go to the individual part pages, it says these two only fit 2018 STIs.

side note: apparently the S207 and S208 STIs in Japan have an 11:1 ratio rack as opposed to what I believe is 13:1 in the other 2015+ STIs

I asked about it here:

http://legacygt.com/forums/showthrea...234351p25.html

and, according to post #1322 here:
https://forums.nasioc.com/forums/sho...php?p=45521736

the rack itself doesn't seem to be different from that of the regular STI. We'll have to pull some different strings if we're going to get our hands on a 11:1 rack.

My dumb ass didn't realize that the 11:1 rack for only the JDM S207 and S208 would be right-hand drive, which isn't super compatible with left-hand drive cars.

I got in touch with Subaru of America and they confirmed that the Type RA has a 13:1 rack:

"Thank you for contacting Subaru of America, Inc.

We appreciate you taking time out of your day to contact us.

The 2018 STI RA features a 13:1 steering ratio.

Thanks for the opportunity to be of assistance."

So I found this:

https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=...As3UXQf71NWiEa

It's a spec sheet for the Type RA.
Says it's a 13.3:1 ratio.
So if the 15+ STi is 13.0:1, then did it in fact become less direct?!?!
Or is the document lying? Hmmm~~~~

Found this difference between va140 and va131 : va140 tie rod end looks straight when 131 has it with radial curve.

Has anyone done this install? I'm replacing my 2015 sti steering rack due to leaking and figured I'd get the type RA if it's any different, and fits?
