What pads??? Conti "miss labled their boxes" (thats what the service advisor told me) when I was trying to get stock brembo pads on, service guy called said they had Hawk pads that "stop better" (could care less if they stop better, wanted my car back ASAP) and I of course said go ahead if they stop better. No word was said about be loud as sin. I hate them, with a passion. I even might buy the new brembo pads just to get rid of the damn loud ass pads.

Another side note, not huge on knowing everything about stopping power for break pads. I really wanted my car back as soon as possible due to situations prior to the oil change that changed into “you need new pads”. I really did need them too.

They must be HP+, because I've run HPS for years, and I've never heard noise from them. HP+ aren't really a street pad...

Just bought some rear 2-pots to match the front 4-pots.

Just need a 2-pot adapter bracket now. Unfortunately that's the expensive part, the manufacturers are proud of those things.

It's not bad driving a lowered vehicle in the winter if you never visit a public parking lot. The highway is okay. Private lots are usually maintained well. Downtown is fine since it's heavily treaded. Gas station entrances are a nightmare, as well as most people's driveways. If you don't visit friends then you're good.

Haha true. This past winter I made the mistake of trying to goto AIH (the old location on old seward near tudor) and the whole parking lot was a miniature lake with slush on top. It had been raining a bit after snowing a ton...and anyways, I swear the water was up to the bottom of my doors AT LEAST. I didn't want to get out for obvious reasons

Don't worry guys I'm not driving my sti in the winter. I'm keeping it a low miles car. I have a 03 wrx that I rally around in the winter time. Im a pretty safe driver when it comes to driving lowered cars. you just gotta watch speed bumps. And I can always raise it up if 2 inches is to much which I don't think it will. It will look sick!

being low never bothered me. just common sense and you will stay out of trouble.

Afew winters ago i had a 94 Integra GSR lowered on H&R springs. then i went lower!

now im not going to say i rode slammed all winter but i raised it up a little to avoid rubbing and used different wheels that actually had snow tires (common sense)

Well I already rub my mid pipe on speed humps if I don't go at a crazy angle over them. Big factor is my drive way, I can't pull straight in. So going 1.5 inches lower might not be the best idea for winter. Guess I'll just have to see.
