Car looks great, nice power numbers. I am curious how everything is holding up so far, any issues? how long did you wait until you started modding? I have a 19' also and would like to start modding ( have Cobb intake / J pipe, EGR / TGV deletes).

Hey there thanks for the love! I bought the car brand new in late January 2019. When I hit 6k miles I first started with the Cobb Accessport and MAPerformance’s stage 1 tune (no Intake). I ran that with an Invidia R400 up until I went full bolt on. I did all my stage 2+ and flex fuel all at once when I was at 13.5k miles. So far everything has been amazing! No knock events, no DAM drop, etc. etc. I just hit 15k miles the other week so almost a month and 1.5k miles with everything looking and sounding great. I ended up not going with EGR/TGV because my understanding that affect emissions testing in some areas of my state. That and I was happy where my car would end up power wise. So to be safe I just stuck to what I did. The head mechanic that helped guide me to what mods to do and how much power I’d make said that none of their WRX’s they’ve nodded and tuned have had issues that stay under 400hp-tq. I fully trusted my tuner as he does like 4-6 cars a week and even worked for a Cobb shop in Texas for a long time before branching out on his own. Let me know if you have any other questions! |

Awesome. This gets me stoked for my build getting completed. All the same mods but TGV deletes as well. Short block is built too. Pumped for sure.

Great looking car!
I want to do some of the same work you've done as well. Nothing crazy, just a bit more GO! BTW, who's guerny flap is that on rear spoiler? That looks great! |

Flex fuel makes the BIGGEST difference out of any of the mods I did, so I highly recommend that the most. And it’s the Supispeed gurney flap! No drilling required, it’s just a extreme double sided adhesive. Definitely get a friend to help put it on, I almost messed mine up doing it myself. |

That is a nice flat torque curve all the way to around 5500, though it's a little unnerving to see 350 lb-ft of torque around 3K. Did the tuner mention anything about motor safety with having that much torque down low?

Thanks! And he didn’t mention anything specifically about that, but just general knowledge on booster motors is not to go WOT in higher gears when going slower. I always make sure to downshift when needing to speed up on highways, etc. and don’t ever floor it in 6th |

91 Octane
Peak HP at RPM: 286whp @ ~6000rpm - 19.3psi Peak Torque at RPM: 319wtq @ ~3100rpm - 19.3psi E65 Peak HP at RPM: 379whp @ ~6000rpm - 19.7psi Peak Torque at RPM: 360wtq @ ~4600rpm - 19.7psi That’s a sharp series grey! They look even better in person. Amazing numbers you got there with smooth curves. I am running the exact setup tuned on 93 octane and yielded 309whp/334wtq. Have a flex fuel tune coming up in late September and couldn’t be more excited. Curious to know if you had a fuel pressure sensor installed along with the flex fuel kit? My tuner suggested the sensor as it helps the tuning process, can’t remember the exact reason. Will also be running the AEM 320 pump. |

Much appreciated!! Those are damn good numbers yourself too! Flex fuel literally is a mega game changer, you’re going to love it. And I do not have a fuel pressure sensor installed. I only went with the Cobb flex fuel kit and the AEM fuel pump. Only thing close to that would be my Grimmspeed EBCS, but other than that I don’t have any other aftermarket sensors. |
