Default question about wrx's front 02 sensor

this question just poped up in my mind while thinking about getting the wideband. Supposely, on a stock wrx, during open loop, ecu will use front 02's vaule as reference. For those who have upgraded uppipe and must have done the resistor mod. In that case, how does the ecu react to that? Is it just a constant vavle then?

Eh? Front O2 is in the passenger side exhaust manifold below the up pipe. The up pipe EGT sensor is in the up pipe. The resister mod sends a constant voltage to the ECU but this has nothing to do with AFR readings.

That is correct, your front o2 is actually your A/F sensor. Your EGT sensor is located in your up-pipe.

the front o2 is a semiwideband.

not as wide range as your typical wb (which go from 9 to 25 or so), but still not as sharp cutoff as the nb rear o2 sensor.
