News

Just an FYI for everyone that was wondering. I just got a reply back from Nukabe and the Racing Hart CP-035R's don't fit with out modification:

Quote:
I am currently checking into the offset of our wheels. I do know they are 18x8.5” and we do have issues with them rubbing. The rear wheels have to be cambered pretty far in to miss the wheel well lip. The front tires rub when turning as well.

Thanks,
Brad

Nino(Nino's Auto Accessories) almost always has a thread going in the Vendor forum for Enkei's. Great prices too, but I think $270ea is about normal for the RP-F1's. Give him a try and see what he can do.

What do you think about this? It goes against the master list of what fits over the sti brembos. I want to get these, but not in the 18" size...

Where/who did you get the data about the 5zigen fn01r-c wheels? I talked to kym at aerosim...she says that the 17" won't fit the brembos...

If you can confirm that they will fit, I think I want to get them...thanks.

For STi brake clearance reference:

FN01R-C in 17x8 (+48) will NOT clear the STi brakes.
FN01R-C in 18x8.5 (+48) will clear the STi brakes.

Like I said in the reply to your PM she was wrong (she should know info about the product before telling customers ). Here is a link of the wheels on FASTRPH's Silver STi in 17x8_ET48. They do fit....

a great news bought to you by a fellow Canadian here...

Test fitted the TMW GT-V 17x7.5 offset 48 will fit STi caliper.
I test fitted it on the front, and it clears, so it would clear the back eh.

Cheers,
BWCO

Thanks for the quick price drop....... I did check the price before I posted that.

I believe Gruppe-S was selling the 17x8.5" type-c for $357 a little while ago, they just recently bumped it up to $367.

The exact same rim was test fitted on my friend's STi, and it won't fit without spacers.

THe SSR Professor will fit the STi with the 17x8 and man they look good.

Gruppe-s said they are 49 offset and would be $1780 with shipping.

Now i just need to find the weight and a picture of an STi with them on it.

ami2fst4u, any idea if spacers are needed for the sti fitment for the 5zigen fn01r-c? Or are all your wheels listed for fit without spacers?

I've got some SSR Type-C 17 x 8.5 on the way and was planning on putting a 245/40 17 Yok on the rim. This thread seems to only address rim fitment not tire fitment. I'm curious if that tire size will work for me or if I have to go to a 235 ?

Thanks, Rob.

I know the list specifies the 18x8.5 SSR Competitions will fit the STi, will the old 18x8's fit as well?

Nope sorry they won't . They have clearance issues, but SSR is due to release a STi specific Comp in Jan. sometime.

Thats a sad thing to hear.. Hey another question. I'm hearing a lot of people talking about Prodrive GC-06d's in 18x7.5, on here they are listed as 18x8's, are they the same wheel?
