STi: Brake and suspension squeaks.

sometimes my brakes squeak a little when i put mild pressure on them. also when i go over a speed bump at roughly 5 mph, i hear a squeak also. anyone else get this and know whats going on? or should i go check up my car at the dealer?

Nah...You should be OK. Performance brake system (ie Brembo) will be a little more noisier than your average stock brake systems. Little squeaks are ok.

Brake squeak is usually caused by the back of the brake pads. It can usually be resolved with a little grease between the pad and the piston.

Squeak over a speed bump could be a lot of things - sway bar links, sway bar bushings, subframe. Not really a big deal, a lot of time stiff suspensions squeak a little on uneven terrain. But if you are really concerned, have the dealer check it out.

Mine does the same, it's normal.

My car makes the same noise, I noticed it while making a 3 point turn and have since been able to reproduce quite often only when braking while going backwards.

I dunno if it's normal but I'll tell you something:

Chicks dig it.

Who's the hunk with the squeeky brakes?!?
