Just curious why are they bringing up this issue now? 2021 budget cap? It is already end of 2022 season. Politics within FIA? Slow audit personnel? Or other losing team whining about it?

The FIA shot down cap breach rumors already in an official statement. Officially until tomorrow as far as it is known there is no proof anyone breached the budget cap yet. Tomorrow will tell the full story but do not be surprised if the punishment amounts to nothing more than a fine for whichever team failed to stay within the cap. In some ironic twist like with every rumor they started I would not be surprised if it was Mercedes who breached the cap and their rumor mongering goes biting them in the rear again like all season long.

Every time they accused anyone of anything this season it was funny how it turned out to be Mercedes in the wrong rather than the other teams.

Just food for thought.

Rules are rules. I wonder if the penalty should be that team has that much less money, plus a "fine" to spend next year. Which would put them at a lower amount of money they could use. Maybe that fine could be distrusted amongst the other teams. So in fact, you're giving money to your rivals.

Max runs down Lewis to win
Lewis tries to get a cheap win by constantly complaining that Max is going off tack.
Why is it OK for Alonso and Perez continue to drive with damage hanging off
their cars when the Mag keeps getting B/W flags for his damage.

Also, Sainz' car retires from a an Austin TX T-bone hit from Russell, but Alanso's car hits Stroll, does an aero wheelie, slams down and then hits the wall, but finishes the race.

Alonso gets a 10 sec stop go penalty for the loose mirror Haas was complaining about during the race so he's out of the points.
Nothing was done about Perez though.

Wittich and Freitas are both complete and utter idiots.
I donīt like Steiner but I understand his rambling about FIA two-faced judging which car getīs a warning of disqualification.
