Yeah, some of these pics give me the heebie-jeebies, and I've been on the summit ridge of Mt. McKinley where the left gradually drops off 3000' and the right drops off 800' nearly straight down. As my dad put it, "We're not stupid, we leaned left".

If I'm properly tied off on something, heights don't matter to me much. But, free climbing/hanging like that? Nope. I'm definitely not strong enough to pull that off. I don't know how the manage to hang like that with all that weight between their legs.

I've heard stories that Lynn Hill's house basically has climbing holds on every wall, and wins the game of "the floor is lava".

This is me at Zion National Park. I have no issues with heights on my own, but I get serious anxiety watching other people stand near an edge. I don't like it one bit. |

Heights? Nope
When I was in China, the tour guide told us that for each level of the Pagoda that we climb, we add a year of life. I got 3 years out of that and left the other 7 years there. |

I feel the exact same way. I've looked over the sides of steep mountains and wasn't too afraid. I climb a tall ladder and get sweaty hands.

Would never do that if I wasn't a geologist or had extensive geologic knowledge of that area. I'm hoping you're a geologist. |

This tells me that I'm not made to hang on from ledges as my hands will get slippery. Nope. |

Nope.
My rule of thumb is if I can stand 10 feet away from the edge (height+room to trip/be pushed) it's cool. If I have the right gear and I'm attached, it's ok. I don't fear the height, I fear the fall. Edit: Eek! Nope to spider banana, too. |
