That looks expensive.

The guy who bought my G8 crashed it too:

I don’t think I could replace mine for that, as far as enjoyment, but mine isn’t auto.

Wish I had bought one of these during the 20% off sales instead of my ZR2(which I already sold). I'd probably still have it.

Yeah, I liked the car very much at 50K and probably would have bought it at that price, when the word came out that they were going to be in the 20% discount I made sure I could get one with all the pedals.

It’s not a perfect car, the tech in the car was old when the car was being built, I’d like to have CarPlay but that ain’t happening because everything is tied into the head unit. The best I’ve ever done on a tank of gas was 24.5 mpg and that was 100% interstate and 100% me trying to get as good as I could get. I’m in the 19 mpg rang for most of my around town tanks.

However, the correct wheels are driven and with three pedals the car makes me smile still after 4 years and 58K miles, it’s really a great car. If I got T-boned tomorrow and had to replace it we would start and end the search with a Vagon, with all the pedals, preferably in dark gray.

You'd be better off buying a Charger 392 for that much and an auto.

Manual SS is really cool, but cant you get into a near mint 6mt CTS-V for less than 40k these days. A little patience is required to find either I am sure.

I loved mine while I had it. Daily drove it through winter in Western NY, took it to lots of track days, did everything with it.

I got rid of it for a combination of things, the tech was old and finicky which isn't great for a car you do 17k mi a year in, some small electrical gremlins started to appear, my warranty was out, and the consumables were getting expensive. I was just about in need of new summer and winter tires, new brakes were in order, the clutch was fine but certainly closer to EOL than not, and looking at fuelly I averaged 17.7 mpg over the 45k mi I logged.

I'm sure the price will be out of reach, but I'm anxiously awaiting the reveal of the CT4/5 Blackwings as they would be a fun update to the SS.

I absolutely love that color, but no manual and that "higher than new" price is a hard no for me.

Auto in a car like this I’m ok with.

$55,000 though? Nope. Not even in Peacock green.

I think my only regert was I didn’t get Royal Peacock Green Metallic. I’ve almost always had a black car so I got the SS in black, that RPGM though is fantastic. When they delivered mine they had one on the same truck going further south and it’s green, it’s black, it’s green, it’s black.

I thought that an auto G8 would keep me happy, and it did for a few years. But if it was a manual I would still have the car. I would have put up with the little gremlins that rmbrady was talking about if it had the 3rd pedal.

Maybe you have other manuals to get your left foot on, but I'm stuck driving autos and really miss the feel of rowing your own gears.

That said, $55k is an unreasonable price to ask.
Ouch.

That's the color the car that I was going to see after putting a $500 deposit on it until the dealership sold it out from under me as I was on my way.

I had a meeting across the street from that dealership and I stopped in to look at it real quick. That color is amazing in the sun, but all the black trim was a fairly poorly done vinyl wrap job. All that stuff needed to be redone, and probably remove that Cadillac V badge from the trunk. Paint and body looked new otherwise.

There's no Cadillac V badge on the trunk.

That price for an SS is lunacy. I loved my manual version, but never understood the appeal of the auto. At that price I'd get this CTS-V.

KGB's right, that's not a Cadillac V badge. It's a Holden SS V badge, which is appropriate for the Holden badge conversion that one's had.

Going to try to look at this G8 GT Monday:

Selling my clean title G8 GT. Volant air intake and a custom exhaust are the only mods. Normal wear for the year and mileage, The car has pretty normal wear and tear for this year and mileage. No dents, the scratches it has could probably all be buffed out. Interior has some of the typical G8 issues, door handle fabric coming up and a small hairline crack in plastic near the gear selector.

143,000 miles, $13,500
