I spotted a ink blue Baja at the intersection of Dam Neck and Holland Road in Va Beach, VA this past Thursday. I tried to get up beside him but we took different lanes. It was a very clean car.

Lets see. For today:

One in Keene NH, pearl blue with a chassy on the back

One on rt 9 somewhere between VT and NH- black

One on Rt 7 in bennington, navy blue.

Also saw a yellow on rt 20 in New York.

Saw 3 more but alas I forget where. So Subie Baja count for the day across 3 states is 7.

Default Black Baja

Outside of Durham, NC I tried to catch up to a black over silver Baja yesterday. I could not get close enough to see if it was a turbo. It was too fast and took the Highway split before I could catch up. I was driving my V6 Ford Explorer Limited and it is not too fast - Just adequate,

Derry, NH - 2 yellow on silver within a half mile of each other! One traveling North on Route 28, just before Dollar Bill's, the other was gassing up at the station just south.

Default Saw two

Last week on Wednesday while at a Waffle House in Hickory, NC we saw a white and silver like ours. Later in the weekend we saw a dark grey over silver. I can not remember exactly where. We spent Friday and Saturday in Brevard, NC in what must be the Outback capital of the world. We saw them everywhere. I lost count!

I love my Baja!

Cool

I saw 7 different baja's this weekend!
Black in Manchester on Union St
Red/silver turbo in Hooksett
Black one for sale in Derry
My lighter blue twin of course in Derry, no racks
Yellow one with Maine plates on Hooksett Rd

And darn I forget the other 2 locations, but I remember it was the most I've seen in 2 days ever! Go Bajas!

The mountain areas seem to have more Subaru Baja's. I have only seen 4 or 5 in this area. My Subaru parts man tells me that I have the only white one he has seen. I see right many Outbacks, Forresters and Tribecas in the area.

I know of at least 3 other Bajas in my neighborhood alone. Not too long ago my dad went out and bought himself an 04 sport the same color as mine, and he only lives a couple miles away.

I saw a black Baja coming out of a used car lot on First Colonial Road on the 22 of July in Virginia Beach close to Virginia Beach Blvd.. I could not tell if it was a turbo or not as traffic was keeping me busy.

Question twocant

Can't quite figure out how to start a thread...I have an '04 turbo 50K and I'm waiting for the parts (front lower arm ball joints)..had rear break pads replaced and rotors resurfaced...along with two belts..absolutely shredded the alt/power steering..that was a thrill on I95...I have driven it in really bad (good!) terrain, but I have always driven stick cars ( 4 volks, 1 volvo and 3 rangers)and always brake with the engine..did I drive it too hard?..Should I be having these problems so early?. Here I was worried about the tires...I LOVE this car..and want to drive it forever..It's a sports car, matress mover, and dunebuggy all in one!

I think it is a combination of both. I don't you can always assume that every type of engine responds the same to personal driving habits. Not only you put strain on the engine but on the clutch as well every time you downshift. I think mazda rx-7 are the best for downshifting because there are designed for high rpms but subaru I don't think so. I blew a valve 85k and I believe that's too premature for a engine.
If you want to start a thread, there is a tab on your left side of the screen that allows you do it when you click on the baja threads. maybe i'm wrong, but there are always some people that have more experience here in NASIOC.
