Just wondering because it seems that Chrome also triggers random freezes for me. |

Just to make sure, if Realtek, verify that the Realtek config isn't set to only enable the front panel.
Also, I've had some weird experiences switching between those when I just used the built-in drivers. Installing the Realtek or motherboard approved ones usually fixed it. |

It could be that, BigWrecks. They routinely un-freeze (though less often recently) and my graphics card drivers **** up A LOT.

What router would you guys recommend? Right now I have a Netgear WNR200 and the WiFi speeds just are not cutting it anymore so I'd like to get a new router, I'm just way out of the loop with routers. I'd like to sped under $150 hopefully.

I just got a Netgear R7000, but that's $200. For me, I needed the processing power. I have a lot of people remote into my NAS to initiate usenet downloads, as well as pulling files off the NAS. So I'm pegging my 100Mb/100Mb connection pretty regularly. My older routers couldn't handle it and if you maxed upload, download would only process at like 10Mb, since the processor couldn't keep up with NAT'ing all the connections. The R7000 is more than fast enough to keep everything running. I didn't really buy it for the Wifi, because I don't have any AC devices yet. I can say the range might be a smidge more than my 5th generation Airport Extreme N router I was using as a wireless access point before. Not much more though. |

god damnit!!! my precious awesome Nec monitor has some sort of burn in (i know that LCD don't get burn in but i don't know how else to describe it). it almost looks like bleed from the right side which i am assuming is from the second monitor being right next to it. this sucks as this was NOT a cheap monitor and i don't have any plans on paying another $1500 for a similar one.
edit: so looks like the correct term is image persistence and in some cases it goes away if you shut off your monitor for an extended period of time. i think that i will switch screens for a week and see if it fixes it.. Last edited by Rattles; 04-28-2014 at 10:30 AM. |

I've been thinking of getting another 7970 since the prices are coming down from the miners. What resolution do you play at? |

Right now, 1920x1080. I know this will be overkill, and I am happy about that. I plan on upgrading this 27" 120Hz Acer to some new 27" 1440p/1600p G-sync monitor once those are out and reasonably priced, but who knows.

My Coolermaster Elite 361 case is pretty damn tight, also had no idea the Corsair H55 cpu cooler was going to be so massive. I have the radiator mounted inside the case, the fan mounted outside the case
Ordered more fans, 3 80mm, and one slim 120mm (12mm thickness). Hopefully that's enough to keep everything cool. |

For end0:
Crossfire 7970s will be nice and push 1440p well. BUT if you can get decent money for your 7970, look at going for a single card like a 780 Ti. I sold Crossfire 7950s for a 780 Ti and could not be happier. I had to pay like $40 extra after selling both my cards. Are the prices still inflated? |

I meant AMD resell prices in particular. You just have to watch Newegg every day for new video card deals.
