Hoping Newegg gets some too then. I'll be F5ing it up all day.

I can't watch any of the trackers while I'm at work, sitting in a SCIF sucks.

NE is usually 7-8:30 EST, but goes in seconds if there is any restock. Haven't had any luck with them. There's better options than manually F5ing and you probably won't beat any bots doing that either. Recommend using an auto refresher and monitor like distill.io extension or a group like some of the discord stock notification channels.
Good hunting. |

I'll let you guys know about the 3080. And just so I'm not holding all the secrets, there's a Stock Drops discord that's pretty active. If you PM me I'll send you an invite link. The more surefire method I've found is just following @liquidfreeno on twitter and having push notifications on your phone. The bot they use is super fast from my experience, so just keep your eye out. At that point just go to BB's website and open a few tabs with 3070/80/90 filtered, try and get the cards you want. It might take you 15-20 minutes to make it all the way through but it's worked 3x for me now. Also, just because a card goes OOS during the drop doesn't mean it won't pop back up. That's how I got my first 3080 XC3 Ultra. Someone must have dropped out of the purchase and I was able to add it again. And lastly, this makes Tuesday at 11AM the drop time I've been successful with twice now. Good luck guys!

Anyone want a Corsair RMx 1000W? Finally tracked down the 850W and never got around to installing the 1K.

For us it's called UNET and it's heavily restricted.

I hope all the people who buy multiple cards either actually sell it quickly and at a reasonable price or just return whichever one they don't use. I wonder how many people out there got multiple cards "just to have them" and are sitting on them for a rainy day, which certainly adds to the shortage. |

There’s folks on FB Marketplace with 7+ listings of multiple CPUs and GPUs, all a good $250+ over retail...it’s gonna take something to discourage that kind of behavior.

I can build my PC and use my 1080ti once it's complete until 3080s are more available.
You can buy two 3080s for what some people are paying for one. I did see an ASUS 3090 on Craigslist for only a few hundo over retail, but it's still $2100. |

Woot!
Exactly 4 weeks after I got a 3080 ordered on Amazon I finally got an expected delivery date of the 15th. Going to hope it ships sooner or at least doesn't go through the crazy USPS route that the CPU did. I plan to build the tower this weekend and start installing everything with the old GPU that I hope will still work enough to drive the monitor. |

It's old but still PCIe x16 2.0, so I'm hopeful it will be enough to get me started.

Anyone seen any RTX3070s at microcenter? looking to pick one up, just not sure which brand/reference what not. Would be willing to pay someone if you could find them.

Circling back to the air vs. liquid convo from a few pages back, I'm both amazed and frustrated at how much of a role aesthetics plays in PC builds these days, at least for those who care about it (aka me).
I finally narrowed it down to two cases for my new build, one that I really want to go with (be quiet! Pure Base 500DX) and one alternate option that I'm not as in love with looks wise (Corsair 4000D airflow). Of course I want some fancy RGB RAM and I also want to go with an AIO for aesthetics. Ideally I'd go with a 280mm just for the larger fans which theoretically should be quieter when normalizing for thermals and I also want to top mount it. The problem with the 500DX case is that officially it only supports up to 240mm radiators up top, however it technically has mounting holes to support two standalone (non-AIO attached) 140mm fans = 280mm. Some people have mounted a 280mm radiator up there despite it not officially being supported and while it works, most of them say buyer beware of tight clearances and to do research on the specific motherboard and RAM sticks that you want to use to make sure it'll fit. TL;DR: want cool looking build, might be able to make parts fit, won't really know til I actually build it and find out the hard way Oh and if I go air I'd likely run into clearance issues anyway given my desire to be an RGB boi and have fancy RAM sticks as a lot of people with bigger blowers i.e. Noctuas have to shift their fans up to accommodate the RAM anyway. Back when I built my current PC (air cooler and regular RAM sticks), AIO coolers were still relatively new to the market and same with RGB RAM, so the only dimensions I had to worry about were GPU length and just deciding what motherboard size to go with. It's a lot more complicated now, it seems. |

What’s your opposition to front mount?

Keeping with the theme, mostly looks if I'm gonna pay for an AIO I want to see all of it including the rad. Given where I put my tower and the angle that I sit at relative to it, I'd be able to see a top mounted radiator at all times whereas I wouldn't really see a front mounted radiator unless I really get up close and look inside the case. Yeah, silly reason, I know.
Honestly I don't know which is better for thermals and I'm sure GamersNexus or some other nerdy people have done videos and articles about it. I figure they both have their pros and cons. Worst case scenario I may just end up getting the 500DX if I really like the looks of the case that much more, and then just settle for front mount if I can't make the top mount work. Talking front mount vs. top mount used to mean intercoolers to me. Now that WFH is a thing and I drive my car once a week at most, it's turned into computer talk |

Front mount is better for temperatures as far as I’ve researched.
