Wasn’t there a split Congress during Sandyhook? Parts were harder to find during Sandyhook, but ammo was nowhere near like this. You can find parts if you hit the drop or pay a scalper and we haven’t hit mag panic...yet. |

sandy hook messed the supply up for years. 9mm and 5.56 were expensive for 3+ years and .22 was next to impossible to find for 2-3 years. i remember it well, i made a ton on selling ammo back them. there are also a lot more new shooters this time. obama also wasn't pushing any sort of assault weapon ban and he didn't have the house and senate.

I just wish I had stocked up more...I'm good for me, casually shooting, for the foreseeable future. But I can't sell anything.
I wouldn't mind flipping my 22LR, 9mm, and 5.56 for 3-5x what I paid. I only stock small amounts of my other calibers anyway. |

Well now, I need some 22LR and 9mm, good on everything else.
well, the wife has the only 9mm, and she doesn't go through much, but still would be nice. |

How long have you been doing this? Why did you get caught slipping? Those are rhetorical questions. When there is "decent" pricing you stock up. I don't mean boxes, I mean cases. Last time prices were "decent" I was buying 1000 rounds a month for I don't know, 16 months in a row. Alternating between 9mm, 556, 762X39, and shells. 308 and 338 are better hand loaded. New shooters, they buy a box or two. When they go to the range they shoot a box or two. Quote:
They do this every single time, 100% agree. Yet the bulk of my stock was bought under Barry. The fear mongering increases prices and f's up demand. They will keep yelling all the while it normalizes. It's like people yelling when they have never invested in stock before. Pandemic + political fear mongering = prices and availability today. Meanwhile, when it hits rock bottom pricing (When I buy) people aren't buying anything. |

this was mostly caused by covid and all of the civil unrest/riots/protests we had in 2020. the election just bumped it up a little more. comparing it to just another election year is idiotic. |

some of it is the covid bs, but as for another election year, well... its more because another anti gun communist democrat was lets say elected. since the 94 awb, and all the panics since then, a person should maintain a stock of whatever they feel they need. the last 3.5 yrs have been the gravy train, the next 4 are going to be the starvation diet.

Any recommendations for online gun dealers? So far I've been checking palmetto state armory's site which has a vast assortment of products and seem to be reasonably priced but most items are out of stock.

What are you looking for? I have had good luck with Buds Gun Shop but given the current stock levels if you are looking for something specific it may be best to look at the gun stock aggregator sites then research the seller.

Looking for an m&p shield 2.0 9mm and a glock 43. Most places are out of stock on the glock but I'm assuming that's going to be everywhere.

Found one local store that is well stocked with guns. Regarding the ammo to shoot them, that's another thing; they have them close to online prices, but ration them out about 1-2 box per customer. Still beat out the Cabela's which used to be full of ammo and now just has empty shelves with only 12 gauge for sale. But, the place had plenty of Glocks though I settled on a shield 2.0 45 which felt just right in the hand and the pocket all things considered. |

I had a chance to browse their site, their pricing is definitely different than other retailers where their pricing updates every 20 minutes depending on their inventory. When I checked pricing it was almost $130+ more for the same gun compared to palmetto state armory and both were in stock.

Any bipod recommendations for a 6.5 Creedmoor Tikka T3x Tact A1?
Harris and Atlas seem to be the big go to's with a huge variety of options and a really solid history. I'd really like to have one very nice one to use on a few different rifles, but get a bit cross eyed with all the options, kinda like the scopes. What about GG&G, even saw Magpul has some new stuff. |

I'm kicking myself because I could have bought the original shield for $249 when they first brought out the shield 2.0. supposedly smith and wesson was discontinuing the original so everyone had it on clearance. Now you can't even buy the original for under $400. I guess they're no longer being discontinued. I think the shield 2.0 is a really great option and as you said doesn't cost as much as other concealed carry size guns.
