IGN gave it a 7.5 in their review (PS2 version, not sure if it's available for any other systems) and the user reviews gave it an average of 8.7.

Not sure if you have to be an INSIDER to view this or not but here's a link to their review:

just bought it today. good graphics but too many damn buttons, game controls suck and you cant change them either. Frustrated after 20mins of game play and turned it off. My hand eye cordination is off today and it really needs to be on with this one.

The game is actually pretty good. It's one of those sleeper hits.

there is no excuse to have a game without configurable controls in this day and age. that's like buying a new car and it doesn't even have manual seat adjustments.

isn't that the truth. If I could configure the controller to my needs it would be so much more enjoyable. I dont use the top L1,2 and R1,2 buttons that much unless I need to. With this game some of your main buttons like fire and jump are on top ruins the game a little for me.

Hmm. Made by Atari? I was really disappointed with their Terminator: Dawn of Fate game because the controls sucked. It looked really good in the store and the graphics were cool, but I put the controller down and stopped playing altogether because I hated the controls.

I went to Wal-Mart to purchase this game, but they didn't have it. So instead I bought Red Dead Revolver from Rock Star Games. I must say it is an excellent game if you are at all a fan of westerns/Man with No Name Clint Eastwood movies. You are a bounty hunter but also play some other characters. There are classic shootouts, realistic play (reloading guns) and the duels are AWESOME. Most of the duel is in slow motion and you have to draw your weapon, aim, and fire before he does, and the it speeds up and shows the result.

A VERY cool game. Rock Star (GTA series) does not disappoint with this game.

Anyway.....also curious about the first game based on the ORIGINAL Transformers license, I've been waiting years for this.

that has to be due in part to the fact it is a transformers game...that gets it at least a 7 on principle lol. Some of the reviews really vary though and that puts it on the to rent list...and wish you could choose more than just three characters though. Red Dead Revolver is worth a rent too:-)
