Anyone is using an Apexi turbo timer in their STi? Does it work with the stock alarm?
Like what the title said.
Anyone is using the Apexi turbo timer in their STi? I am wondering if it is compatible with the factory Subaru upgraded security system. Thanks. ADDICT

I don't think your car needs a turbo timer. A friend of mine emailed subaru about that for his STI, and they said it was unecessary. Something about a gate that opens and drains the oil out of the turbo when its shut off. You should try contacting them, they could probably explain it better.

My question was whether the Apexi turbo timer is compatible with the factory alarm.
I wasn't asking if the STi can benefit from a turbo timer. ADDICT |

alright try this
look under ur instrument panel, like behind that bottom plastic piece where ur knees would be, i hope u know where im talkin about, pull that out <should already be out from the TT install unless u havent started> look for the box that the security system uses look for a pinout on it if u see a number that says "ignition +12v" either cut that wire or pull it out of the harness thats what i had to do and all it did was scare the poop out of me when i put the harness back into the box cause the alarm went off |
