Default Wheels for STi? Looking for pictures and information fellow members

Well, I figured I would post a topic on this, I really want to see some diffrent wheels on the 2004 USDM STi.

I read throught the topic by Glenn Wallace about varios wheels that fit. Here > Glenns Post Here

I also looked through the members gallery and did not see any STi's in there (yep guess where special) . I will start by posting the few that I have. This post shoud help me and others figure out what fits and how it looks

Yeah, I am, but have none to put up.

I hate the stock STi rims, and would love to see what else is available that will fit...

17x8.5 Advan RG's: (Thanks CruWRX!)

17x8.5 Advan RCII's: (Thanks h2o!)

That's all I can scrounge up for now. If I find more, I'll keep editing my post.

Thanks "STiLL WILL"!

Is it me or do the wheels look weird on the cars? Like they are to small or something. Maybe its just me

JDMTEG98,

Well, a lot of factors can affect this. First, you may be used to seeing 18's(all the ones I posted were 17's) and the 17's may not fill up the wheel wells to your liking. Second, only one of these STi's that I posted was lowered(Zero Sports STi), further accentuating the 17's smallish appearance to you on h2o's and Cru's STi's. Lastly, the series of tire they use can also affect overall appearance as a 45 or 50 series tire on a 17 will make the rim look smaller as opposed to a 35 series tire which will make the rim look like it has more surface to show. Also, spoke design has a big influence in overall appearance. As you can see on the RG's, the spokes curve into the rim a lot earlier than the RCII's spokes which almost look as if they're ending at the outer edge of the rim's diameter. Yet, they're both 17x8.5's and they look as if theyre totally different diameters if someone off the street were to "eye' both of them side by side.

Would really like to see GT-C's if anyone has them. I know its a long shot, but......

Those Advans are nice.......the ones on the Zero Sports car.

Getting my STI on Thursday, I actually really like the Stock STI wheels. Earlier in the year I bought a set of Rota Formels for my 03 WRX, and recently got trires for them, but still havent mounted them.

Since I've decided on getting an STI I'm going to use the Formels in the winter with Sumitumo HTR+ Tires and swap them back and forth between seasons.

I'll bet the STI looks damn good with Formels

I think all the 17" look good, the 18" Tommy K's however look very weird from the side (check the WRB/gold pic). The WRB/grey pic is actually hiding this view and (IMO flaw) of the wheels.

this is the UK look. Lots of UK STI owners upgrade there stocks for these in 18's

Look good but depends on color of car for color of wheel...JMO

I love the PFF-7's. I but somthing about the GC-07's look a little sharper. I would take those in gold aswell. Is that STi riding on stock suspension?

This is my contribution. Advan RCII. I don't know their spec, but they certainly look like they are 17".

Thanks ahead.

Here is my STi with Bronze SDR's.
It really worked out nicely. I am not losing much in the form of weight (Rotas are only a little heavier than the BBS). Although they ar enot as nice or strong as wheel as the Forged BBS wheels, I like the way they look. I was also able to switch to the tires I refer, and like better than the stock ones (Falken Azenis Sports).

Best of all. Sold the BBS wheels, and with the Money, Got TWO sets of SDRs and tires, one with summer tires, one with winter tires. So I can swap back and forth, and alreayd have both, and no extra money out of my pocket That is until next year when I get some Advan 8.5 x 17" Wheels with race rubber

Man, love those Advans, and I'm getting a Black/Gold, so the black car was the ideal photo mule for me.

Any stats available on those rims? Weight, offset, price, etc??
