Unhappy Please don't close my wearable DCCD thread.

Hey what happened why did that thread get closed? I know the article I posted wasn't specifically talking about the DCCD, however it did mention that clutch type LSD's are subject to wear out and require service. It's my understanding that the center diff is a clutch type LSD.

If the DCCD does not wear and is not subject to service then I'm happy to be wrong and please just delete that thread all together. However, if it turns out that the DCCD is a "wearable" item, then wouldn't it be better not to use it (diff open) when it's not necessary.

Remember the older 4 x 4 systems? One of the benefits of having the manual locking hubs and not the shift on the fly system was to save wear and tear on the front diff. If the AUTO mode is constantly locking and unlocking the diff isn't this wearing the mechanism and if that wear could be avoided then it should be.

And to all the people who were " " at me at the end my thread, why don't you spend some time researching this and prove me wrong instead of " " at something you don't understand.
