Default My driver side window makes a cracking sound!!!!

it makes a cracking sound everytime i lower it from fully closed position!!!!

this only happens on the driver side front door.

does any one have this problem?

i am not sure "cracking" is a accurate descriptiong

a short "Clunk" noise.. the window goes up and down in a smoother fashion just w/ that noise ...

I had a problem with my 2002 WRX, where the the window winder engine came loose from the door in a few places and then subsequantly pulled the other mounts out of the door then shut down. They had to complete some internal body work to get it fixed. SO becareful.!

RichQY, you may need to provide us more description of this problem. Could it be the sound of the glass rubbing against the rubber seal on the car body?
