Default P0336

I’ve been chasing a p0336 code. Took it to the dealership nobody seems to know what the issue is. Ive replaced the crank sensor with an oEM one. Any idea what I could be missing? I’ve checked teeth on the sprocket and all. Not sure what it is

You have swapped the sensor. You have inspected the sprocket. That's step 2 and 4 of the diag tree.
Do you have any symptoms? Misfire/stall/no start?
Are there any other codes? Step 1
Have you checked the mechanical timing? Step 3
Although not covered in the manual next thing to look for is a bad connections or short between the sensor and the ECM. There are only 3 connections - The ECM, the engine to bulkhead connector, and the sensor.

That's about as detailed as helps gets until you fill out your profile and identify which Subaru you're working on.

Default P0336 02 bugeye

Same code on an 02 bugeye, usdm manual transmission.
I checked timing, replaced the sensor with known good one.
Chased the wires to ecu and found em good, little or no resistance.

But the resistance in the ecu is off, and I think the ecu is borked... trying to find a known good one to test.

Does it have an aftermarket flywheel? A light went flywheel can cause that code. Your need to lowered your ignition timing and or change your knock sensor table and or insolate your knock. And or move your knock sensor to the front of the engine block away from the bell housing website echoes accur. Goodluck your welcome...
