Default Riddle me this knock sensor

well i was going to replace my grimmspeed top mount. I find this, the sensor was clocked at the wrong angle so I decided to just take a look at the sensor and I find this.

Was a stand-alone knock sensor installed? Where does the black wire go to? Can you ask the previous owner about this?

No they broke it they said pulling the engine, I found someone that can send me the connector from another harnesses. Going to see if I can get that repaired. I have for now I just jerry rigged it like theh had it and clocked it in the right direction. Hope this patches the issue until I can get the connector.
