Default ABS light on after rear wheel bearing changed

Hi guys I replaced the rear passenger side wheel bearing and the ABS light is on intermittently now. I did not unplug the ABS sensor during this time. I just read that some wheel bearings are directional in that they have a magnetic strip on one side. Would a 2007 Forester wheel bearing be directional in that sense? What else could be the issue?

I don't know the 2007 Forester, but the on the Impreza, the tone ring attaches to the rear of the hub and the ABS sensor lines up with the tone ring. There should only be a very small gap between the two and the specs for that are in the service manual. Possibly the hub did not get pressed into the knuckle far enough or the wiring/sensor for the ABS got damaged.

Rockauto only lists wheel hubs for the 2007 Forester as FRONT and REAR, not left or right, so it shouldn't matter.

Did you fix your problem?

That model has the rear ABS reluctor ring bolted to the back side of the hub with the sensor mounted through the rear of the backing plate. No magnetic strip.
I have seen people crack the reluctor ring,
forget to swap the ring over if they replace the hub with the bearing,
bend the backing plate which increases the airgap between the sensor and ring,
not get the hub fully seated in the new bearing which increases air gap,
contaminate end of the wheel speed sensor with metal filings.
