Default Motor Mount Bolt Location

I'll be doing an UP install very soon - can someone tell me where the passenger side motor mount bolt is located? I've searched to no avail....

A picture would help even more...TIA!

There is a motor mount crossmember that spans the width of car btwn frame rails. It is a stamped steel, shaped plate. In a channel on either side of car is a 14mm bolt. Thats all there is holding your motor in! (Well, except it is bolted to tranny)

Be careful on the engine mount nuts, especially if you are anywhere close to the rust belt. They will be corroded and stuck on there tight. You can round those nuts quick. A 6 point socket helps.

Personally, I think it's less frustrating and just as easy to take the turbo off and pull the up pipe out from the top, especially if it still has that rotten heatshield on that bolts to the back of it. The bolts are usually two round nubs of rust at this point that you will not be removing. Again, this is coming from a north east guy. Enjoy!

Exactly what car are you working on?
Please fill in your profile as it helps everyone help you.

Now that you already have the uppipe out, read my response in your post in the newbies section on the same subject.

I'll say it again here:
You do not need to raise the engine to remove an uppipe. It is a matter of wiggling the uppipe the right way to pull it out from the bottom.
