Yo guys, I have an ej25 na block. And everyone keeps telling me on the outback forums that I will lose torque if i get a free flowing exhaust. Is there any way to get around this. (have good sound but still keep the power and maybe gain a miniscule amount?

Default New cat new 02 sensors same problem

I replaced my cat with a bosal unit the entire piece and I replaced both 02 sensors. I'm still having the same problems. Misfire on 3 and 4 and p402. It's a 2005 saabaru 92x Linear. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Default Speedyracer NA UEL Headers

2003 OBS 2.5 4EAT
Needed something to to keep me happy on the daily commutes so I decided on some UEL headers for the ol green machine. After eBay and google scrounging, came upon these

https://www.speedyracer.com/exhaust-parts/1999-2005-SUBARU-IMPREZA-25L-RS-SOHC-HEADER-STAINLESS?carmake=Subaru&carmodels=Impreza&caryear =2003

for a whopping $130. Not ****ing bad. Everything else is stock on the exhaust except for the aftermarket quiet exhaust after the old one rotted through (gotta love the Northeast).

Will probably be replacing the mid pipe while salvaging resonators since, yes that rotted out too and snapped on the highway leaving me without a catback. Not gonna lie, loved the sound, didn’t love the smell creeping into the cabin.

I’ll keep y’all updated.

EDIT: Of course they didn’t fit easily. Had to struggle them in to the studs on the heads, but they sound great. Will post once I replace the catback since that’s rusty and leaky to high hell.

Okay, this thread is over 17 years old, there are dead links everywhere, and I really don't feel like digging through 111 pages for the answer, so please help a brother out.

Is there a decent, cheap-ish set of UEL headers available for the '07 Imprezas? I want the rumble real bad.

Almost no aftermarket parts sites that I've come across stock NA EJ parts and I'm not sure of the compatibility between the engines. It's all WRX/STi stuff and I don't want to buy the wrong thing.

Thanks!

E: got drunk and went back in time 25 pages. Apparently infernofab.org still makes custom UEL headers for NA Scoobies. Will be ordering ASAP.

**4 Months Later**

Did you get the headers and if so, did you lose torque?

Back from the dead after 3 years, ended up selling the car, but here's my dyno graph

4>1 wrx headers | 400cell cat | vw golf r Resonator | STI midpipe | Blitz Nur Spec Cannon
Full intake into fender with pod

As you all say, don't mod the car for power haha
Sounded alright for a n/a

I know I’m going to be a necro for this. Do you have any links that aren’t dead for this set up? Seems like it would sound killer on a N/A 2.5
