Default Best tire size for a 18x8.5?

05 Sti
On Coilovers with currently stock camber
Car is close to stock height
Fenders are not pulled or rolled and would preferably like to keep it that way.
18x8.5 +42 wheel
Currently looking at some Pilot Sport 4s tires.

I’m torn between a 235/40 or a 245/40. I’d like to go as wide as possible without hitting the fenders. Car makes about 500whp now but is extra width even that beneficial? I believe the Pilot Sports 4s run narrow so maybe even a 255/35?

Side question how significant is the impact of a taller tire? Will the 245/40 feel like a completely different car?

If you don't want to screw up your odometer, then to determine the correct size tire you need to match the overall diameter of your original size tire to whatever tire size you want to force feed under the fenders.

Closest match wins!
