Had my first service done on my 2019 wrx.
They updated the Nav/head unit to Rel_U1.18.38.50
Did oil, filter and other fluid checks.

And I wanted them to check my shift linkage because when I am in 4th at 2300 rpm it vibrates like crazy.
All the rest of the gears are good. The tech said that he took out a brand new 6 speed wrx from the lot and it is smooth as silk.
So they recommend a new transmission. The tech feels the vibration is from the transmission itself.
The car has 10,000kms on it or 6000 miles

I agree. I've loved te37s since 1999. So much so that i think i might get a second set. The vendor i got these from has another avaible in 16x7 white for $800 that would work great as winter wheels.

My 19 WRX also had this before I traded it in for the STI. It was something I too was concerned about. 4th gear as well.

Default exhaust

I was going to put on my exhaust yesterday but UPS wouldn't deliver it as I waited all day Saturday before I had leave at 6pm. Low and behold, I sit around all day yesterday waiting so they don't pull the same ****, and it arrives at 7pm.
Then when it arrives, I look at the box and you can see the muffler through the hole in the box. More inspection of the box shows the staples are all removed, and it clearly had been shipping to someone else previously. After opening that box, I then start looking at all the parts, and it looks like it was installed on someone else's car previously as the muffler had dirt or debris on it, and you can see bolt marks on the flange where it mates to the stock cat. Then when looking at the gaskets sent with the box, it also looks like those were used. So all in all, I know have a pickle on my hands and no new exhaust on my car. Any thoughts on this? Would you all be happy your new exhaust looks like it was used?

took it to a touchless car wash. That fixed the vibrations. Probably ice frozen under the body. It came with a price though...... byebye badge

Drove mine in the snow. Currently hunting for a Delta Sonic whose car wash is open. The one nearest my place had a sign up that said "Closed due to the extreme weather."

Which makes sense. I imagine they wouldn't want their attendants hosing down and drying off cars while in 8*F weather that was feeling like -5 due to wind.

Thanks for the link and details, houston1121!

For me drove my WRX in light snow and freezing rain. Car was fantastic with just DWS06. No wheel spin and just gripped real well, had a fun drive. I love this car!

So a member here recommended me to update my iOS 12.3.1? (just released) and clean out the lightening connector jack on my iPhone and retry CarPlay. I did just that and while the songs skipped a few times it did not fully random disconnect. ..well for now. Will see how long it stays that way but I appreciate the advice.

My HU is the Harman one on the WRX Limited. Random disconnects from day 1.

Like the last post I didn't do it today, but this past weekend I swapped out the old rusty fuel filler neck on my 93 WRX for a brand new one from Subaru.

Now the garage doesn't smell like fuel after it's been parked overnight! Wife happy again!

Unfortunately iOS 12.1.3 and the cleaning the lightening connector on my iPhone did not do the trick for my HK stereo's CarPlay. The thing disconnected on its own multiple times on the way home last night.

It seems like when the phone gets multipe notifications the phone or head unit gets confused as to which audio to sound through the HU and causes the disconnect. For example, if I got no emails while I'm running CarPlay the system doesn't seem to disconnect.. but when it disconnected yesterday, I had like 5-10 emails come in within a short period of time. Not sure if related or not.

Back to not allowing CarPlay to auto-launch again. Oh well.

For updates like this why not just make your own build thread?
