No liquid from rear washer (2011 Impreza Hatch)
Basically what it says in the title. My rear windshield washer has stopped spitting out any washer fluid. I can hear the motor running when I use the control, but nothing is coming out.
On the impreza there isn't a separate rear reservoir, right? It's just the front reservoir feeding both the front and rear washers? I'm not out of washer fluid since the front washer works fine. I guess it could either be a bad hose or a bad washer tip. Where do the hoses for the rear washer even go? Do they go through the headliner? |

The hose is definitely split somewhere and you will have to find it. You should look for leaking water.
The hose split on mine where it comes through the rear pillar to the liftgate. There is a flexible conduit there. The water was basically running down the pillar into the rear fender area. |

There are two pumps; one for the front and one for the rear. The pump physically further towards the rear of the car is for the rear washer. I'm pretty sure (not 100%) that the hoses run through the firewall and under the door jams inside the car.
First thing I'd check though is that the washer nozzle isn't just clogged. You can either buy a replacement from the dealer for less than $20 or try some combination of air compressor to blow out the old nozzle, vinegar soak, etc. |

Thank you for the suggestions. It was a clogged nozzle. I replaced it with a new one and it works great now. No leaks!
Also the service manual suggests removing the stop-light on the roof spoiler but you don't have to do that. |
