Badass man. I love seeing old school Subaru’s being built. Love what you’ve done with it.

Great build, I was reading through your rwd conversion and was going to ask if you ever make it out to pats acres and when I saw pics of the first gen legacy I realised I saw you at PARC fest over labor day weekend, car was looking great. I was driving the red Impreza all I've done so far is convert it to rwd and swap in a 4.44 rear diff. I wanted to ask what the welded diff is like on the road, I think that will help my car alot but not sure how bad it will be if I still drive it on the steet. It's not my daily so but not sure if I want to make it a track only car yet.

hey! yeah, i try to make it out to parc as much as i can, i't seems like the last few events something always comes up though, and i end up not making it. my car was running like crap all of parcfest. one of my rear subframe bolt holes was stripped out, and i had to hole saw through the inside of the car to fix it. and when i did that, i went through the fuel filler vent. which caused a fuel leak, and for the car to bog really bad when i would pitch it around corners. that and my knock sensor wire was cracked all over, causing my car to run in limp mode for the entire event i swear parcfest is the curse of my car. last year i hit one of the rumbles in the back section and completely ripped the front suspension off of my car 2 laps into the weekend.

i personally don't think driving around with a welded diff is bad at all. i have also been doing it for the past 10 years or so though lol. your tires will chirp when you do tight turn in parking lots and whatnot, but when you are actually driving it doesn't feel any different than an open diff, you just have to remember to take it easy around corners when its wet out
