I was wondering the same thing! I want blue lights to match the interior I'm going to make.

I tried changing the colors like that last post said, but the green color is in the Gauge faces. So i just painted my bulbs blue and now my dash is a teal color.

can you sand the green off of the back of the guage faces? then maybe paint the back blue?

If someone wants to donate a guage face, I'll be happy to try it

You can't sand the rear color without it messing up the balance of the color across. Here is why,
There are only a few bulbs that are actually in the cluster. Where the bulbs are near they add extra color to it to dim it, and where there is not a bulb nearest to the plastic they cut the color really thin so that that lighting appears even across the whole thing. You guys ever see the entire clear gauges for honda? Notice that it's much brighter near the bulbs, and not at all in the middle, that's basically a cutaway of the problem. But you can try for yourself if you don't believe me. -Brendan |

ok, but now i have questions. is there any way to do this, like the way they do it on VW GTIs. i saw them use those little colored tabs from file folder things to change the color of the instrument clusters.
