Default Primary wastegate duty cycle too high

I have an 02wrx and it's flashed to xpt stg2 race with supporting mods :

3" TurboXS TBE
Catless up pipe
Injen CAI
Perrin inlet
Perrin LW crank pulley
CSS TMIC
Walbro 255
Gm Bcs

I logged my car today but i don't have the file in this computer so i can't post it.

The car has boost issues and it can't build up the pressure in the system. It gets stuck at 10 psi till 4.5k rpm and starts raising from there.

I noticed my duty cycle is around %70 till 4.5k and goes down to %65 after.

Is that normal ? If it's not what could be causing this ? Thanks...

Why not submit this to XPT? Not sure why everyone comes here first. What EM are you using?

check for boost leaks.. have u adjusted the wastegate arm on ur turbo?, also check for uppipe to turbo gasket leaks or header leaks. they make ur car laggy and then at the end of the rpm is when u finally see a boost spike.. the problem is a leak not the map.. i've flashed many maps and they are right on spot on boost with no boost leaks or exhaust leaks, if no leaks then check ur turbo shaft play..

Disaster i think you are right.

I tried running the vacuum lines straight between the wastegate and turbo (no bcs)

Still did the same thing, which tells me i have a leak in the hotside.

I did seafoam in my last oil change and didnt see any smoke coming out of the exhaust pipes so i thought i didnt have a leak.

What is the best way to spot an exhaust leak ? Thx,

have u adjusted ur wastegate arm??..

Also when u get an exhaust leak before the turbo.. they are loud..lol. u can hear the nasty tone they got.. u can try peeking around and see if ur uppipe to turbo connection has some carbon build up on it.. but the most common leak is the header to uppipe.. right by the 02 sensor..

If u dont find leaks.. then make sure u do a boost leak test. also check ur BOV. my old hks was leaking.. and i had the same problem ur seeing....

Checking the bov was easy i just put my hand by it.. and revved the engine, and if it leaks. u can feel the air coming out while u rev..

and ur using a CAI on a stg 2?.. i dont remember they having a map for a CAI on a 02 wrx..lol

You can also try peeping around to see if your uppipe to turbo connection has any carbon buildup on it. However, the most typical leak is the header to uppipe, which is around the 02 sensor. Also, when you get an exhaust leak before the turbo, they are noisy.

Make sure to perform a boost leak test if you don't detect any leaks. additionally verify your BOV. I had the same issue as you did with my old hks leaking.

It was simple to check the BOV; all I had to do was place my palm near it, rev the engine, and look for leaks. You can feel air escaping as you rev.

and you're employing a CAI on a STG 2?I don't recall seeing a CAI map for a 02 Wrx, lol.
