Swapping Impreza 2013 Clarion HU into Impreza 2009

A friend has a 2009 “sunroofed” Premium with an old, non-HD, Clarion 86201FG642, CZ641U6, PF-2950, Rear Sticker ZR64 HU, and really wants HD FM. I have a spare 86201FJ630, CM631UD, PF-3391, Rear Sticker MR63 in my 2013 Impreza Premium that I am willing to “donate to the cause”.

Looking through manual pages from 2009, 10, 11, and 13, it appears there was a minor “interval change” in 2011, before the major change to my 2013. In that year (2011), Subaru “grafted” changes from the Forester onto the Impreza with the addition of a Map Spotlight Microphone (84621FG131ME) and a bolt-on Phone Switch (83158FG000).

Other changes that probably occurred were:
1. A change in the Rear Wiring Harness for R-56 and R-62 from 2-pin to 4-pin connectors and 3 extra conductors for the microphone extending down to I-86 (which changed from 10 pins to 16 pins).
2. Changes in B-68 (14-pins) for 3 extra conductors to the phone switch, by way of the Roll Spring (Clock-spring).
3. The clock-spring itself was modified (from the previous version 83196FG020) by the addition of Connector ST-4 for the Phone Switch (resulting in version 83196FG030).

To do the swap would mean:
1. Taking out the current Map light / Sunroof Switch unit and putting in the version with a microphone (84621FG131ME).
2. Replacing the current 2-pin R-56 and R-62 connectors with 4-pin versions, and running 3 wires for the microphone to an I-86 10-pin to 16-pin adapter.
3. Replacing the old clock-spring with a new 83196FG030.
4. If needed, run 3 wires from B-68 to I-85 for the Phone Switch.
5. Add 2 jumpers on B-68 for pin 1 to 13 (V), and pin 8 to 15 (BW)
6. Connecting the Phone Switch (83158FG000) to clock-spring connector ST-4
7. Repurposing my current SVXdc/ae64.com I-146 adapter for running 3-conductor shielded microphone to a new 6-volt 3rd party camera in the back.

I know, a fair amount of work for a 2009 Impreza, but it only has 120,000 on it, and the owner wants to keep it as it drives well (but, TBH, the fuel consumption of the 2.5 L engine leaves something to be desired, but better than a new car payment for less than 8,000 miles/yr).

Any thoughts or comments on things I might have missed?
