If you can stomach it, this. I'd rather keep the van and buy a vette than sell the van and drive a 2+2. Still working on the wife and having 3 cars between the 2 of us.

Don't you worry sweetheart, my 2013 Toyota Sienna (the queen of my fleet) isn't going anywhere.

It's still incredibly useful for road trips to my parents house with kids' bikes and golf clubs and such and when we need to haul more people.

I know you're keeping it...but my current options are sell it and get a stang/camaro/challenger or just keep it.

I was just saying I'd rather have a purpose-built fun-car and drive a commuter-mobile the other 90% of the time. So, for you...leaf + porsche

Right, but it's not an either or. I'm saving my pennies for a classic Porsche (something air-cooled) and I'm keeping the van long term. The question is what does Shannon drive daily?

While I love the idea of a wagon that's fast and fun, that much money completely negates the purpose of getting a wagon because you won't want to use it for utility. It's too nice to throw junk in the back, let your dog loose in it or scratch up while loading a dirty mountain bike. Or maybe that's just me and rich people don't give a ****.

Volvo V60 Polestar or the V90 T8 depending on how big you need it to be. I really want the V60/ XC 60 T8, but the wife wants the Tesla Model 3.

I had to go back in time to achieve this goal. Built a 2007 into an STi Wagon.

I’m not interested in a XC or Allroad or Outback, I want a sports wagon. V90 is definitely on the radar!

I'd get a white one with black interior and throw bags of manure and pine straw in it the day I bought it. I keep things a long time and use the **** outta them.

I like his reviews but wouldn't necessarily buy what he likes. If (and its a BIG if) I were to buy a wagon it wouldn't be based solely on performance. Comfort and luxury would be in the equation as well. I'd like to see an old school top gear road trip test.

I daily drive a 2006 WRX wagon with Koni Yellows on full stiff. I think this type of wagon is basically my car now 2x. I and the wife could deal with the bone jarring ride. The maintenance costs? Well, I don't really want to thin about that too much, let me dream.

COME ON BITCOIN@!

What is it? The big selling point on the BMW was the ZF 8-speed. It's still just that good.

I like how if you select V60 Polestar there are no options available except exterior color.

Well, its not an AMG wagon but I've hauled 5' arbor vitae and 20 rolls of sod in the back of my 328 wagon. I've also put mtn bikes and lawn mowers in it. Weathertech cargo liner with a tarp and shop vac clean it up pretty well. I bought it to use it.

As for other wagon options, Volvo V90R. Its order only. (Not sure if anyone mentioned it)

The older PoleStar had a 3.0 inline 6 turbo attached to an archaic 6-speed auto with paddle shifters that lag on shifts and didn't blip throttle on downshifts.

The new PoleStar appears to have a new 362hp 2.0 turbo 4 banger. Maybe they improved the transmission, but part of the allure for me was the I6 turbo im not nearly as interested in the 4 banger.

$135k the way I would build it. Hybrid but not the turbo.

Not sure if you're joking or not. I'm interested to hear some reviews since I'm in the market for wagon and would like more options than a Outback or Alltrack.

I don't see a manual option. They got rid of it for the '18 Regal GS which was a surprising place for a manual in the first place.

I was just looking up pictures to post of this, but looking at Buick's website all I see is the Outback looking version with the ****ty plastic fender flares instead of the great looking Opel version that was shown when they announced this.

The 4 banger is a hell of a motor. Supercharged and turbocharged, used throughout the Volvo lineup in top level specs.

Also, the trans is now an 8spd auto. From a recent CD test:

Quote:
Some of the newfound pep can be credited to the eight-speed automatic, which generally comports itself better than the slushy six-speed. Nudging the shift lever to the S gate activates the Polestar’s Sport mode, calling up a spicier powertrain program, deepening the exhaust note at idle (by raising the idle speed to about 1000 rpm), and adding some starch to the steering. Here, the eight-speed cracks off premonitory downshifts when braking into a corner, and it more aggressively holds lower gears. Slapping at the tiny shift paddles or the shift lever now summons relatively quick up- and downshifts with rev-matching, while the six-speed would just sort of blend from gear to gear with no backup from the throttle when shifted manually.
