GF and I have been watching a few eps of FMA a night for the past while, once we're done we plan on watching all of Brotherhood too.

I haven't watch Anime in ages, forgot how awesome it is.

K-ON!, HOTD, and RideBack are all out on BluRay or will be in the next few days.

Spice & Wolf, both seasons, and K-ON!! (K-ON! season 2) will come out in August.

I saw some FMA stuff on the latest AMV Hell videos (anyone who hasn't watched AMV Hell is missing something from their anime experience) and I might give it a shot too.

Not so much an anime, but it was released in the US by Funimation.

I got it on Blu-ray, but wish I got it on DVD. Even though the visuals were amazing, the audio is where this thing shines. I have a surround sound set up in my living room with a DVD player, but in my bedroom is where I have the Blu-ray player hooked up to a 32" LCD TV. Needless to say, it definitely lacked in the sound department because of my set up.

^^Watched that on a lark a bit back with another friend who enjoys anime. We both enjoyed it a lot (its on NetFlix for those who care little about HD quality).

You may like FMA, but once you watch Brotherhood, you'll most likely forget the original series ever existed.

Just keep in mind, the first 12 eps of Brotherhood will be a compressed retelling of the first 2/3 of the original FMA series, you'll find it annoying rushed and compressed but thats only because the remaining 50 eps of Brotherhood is a totally different and MUCH BETTER story. You'll enjoy it much.

I watched Brotherhood first and when I tried to watch FMA for 'completness' sake I found it friggin painful...but I wanted finish the whole series before I started sh**ing on it in FMA discussions.

Find a torrent/streamer with a fan sub, the FUNi sub is horrible and incomplete not to mention that the FUNi release is missing about 26 minutes of footage.

This film had a lot of negative criticism. It's not the best Film adaptation of an Anime but its worth a watch.

I watched random eps of FMA when it was originally on Adult Swim, the look and style of it never drew me in even tho I knew it was mega popular.

Watched one ep of Brotherhood, I was hooked, dunno why. I think the more sophisticated storytelling and cinematographics really pushed my cool buttons.

That and Brotherhood's version of Pride, Wrath and Greed just make the 2nd half of that show...and Armstrong's sister, Olivier.

Watched this 2 nights ago. Meh. Definitely anime-ish but went a little far on that scale for my tastes. Just doesn't feel the right when I watch a movie that's trying to be as anime as possible.

I liked last exile. The art is amazing. It got strange and hard to follow at the end.
